How many websites do you have? And of those how many generate the majority of their traffic from long tail keywords? I don’t know but you, but of all of my sites, well over 60% of them get most of their traffic from long tail keywords as opposed to the main one word keywords. So wouldn’t it be nice to be able to exploit these long tail keywords in your individual niche? Where we are not only NOT spamming the search engines, but we are maximizing the traffic to our website.
If you’re new to Internet Marketing, then you’re probably wondering what long tail keywords are. A long tail keyword is basically a keyword that contains your main keyword (the name of your niche) plus, a combination of other words that actually make the phrase make sense. For example, let’s say that your keyword was “dog training”. An example of a long tail keyword could possibly be “dog training for your German Shepherd” or “secret dog training tricks”.
So you’re asking “What if I have 40 pages in each page focuses on a long tail keyword?” Okay, so you have 40 pages with 40 different keywords. And each of these long tail keywords gets 100 visitors per month. Multiply 100 visits by 40 and you have 4000 unique visitors each and every month.
The nice thing is that it is very easy to rank high for these long tail keywords. In most cases, all you need to do is create the page that is targeting that long tail keyword and as soon as he gets indexed, you will most likely find that it already on the first page of the search engine results.
Now don’t just stop targeting your main keywords in your articles and start focusing on the long tail keywords. You still want to focus on the main keywords for your niche. Just realize that it will in most cases take longer for this keyword to generate any kind of traffic due to it being a high competition keyword.
If you don’t have the time to write 50 pages worth of content for your website, then you may want to consider using PLR content for this. The way PLR articles are written nowadays is that they are focused around a particular set of long tail keywords. This simply means that you will be able to create content specific pages that are optimized for the individual long tail keywords quickly and without having to write the whole article.
If you don’t have the time to write article after article on your niche topic such as “Dog Training for Your German Shepherd”, and you don’t want to spend a lot of money to have someone write articles for you then PLR articles are the way for you to be able to fill your blog with articles. PLR articles were available readily at many sites. One that I know of intimately is PLR Underground.
